The table provides an overview of the availability of various sheet steel grades from Ispat Inland. These are available as hot rolled or cold rolled steel substrates. Depending upon customer requirements, the cold rolled products are available as bare or with a variety of corrosion protection coatings.
Ispat Inland produces a full range of mild steels satisfying various customer forming requirements. These are Commercial Steels (CS), Drawing or Forming Steels (DS or FS), Deep Drawing Steels (DDS), Extra Deep Drawing Steels (EDDS) and Extra Deep Drawing Steels Plus (EDDS PLUS).
Dent Resistant Non-Bake-Hardening and Bake Hardening grades of steels are available from Ispat Inland. Ispat Inland's isotropic (ISODENT) steels dent resistant non-bake-hardening steel provides uniform mechanical properties in all rolling directions. These steels are used for exposed quality autobody panels and unexposed quality structural applications. Ispat Inland's MINDENT® family of steels are available for dent resistant bake-hardening applications. These grades are extensively used for exposed quality outer-body panel applications and for structural applications. Ispat Inland offers several steels ranging in yield strength grades from 180 MPa to 300 MPa.
Conventional high strength steels (HSS) are those that have been traditionally used by the automotive industry and these include C-Mn grades and microalloyed grades termed as High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) grades. Ispat Inland's HI FORM (HF) products offers full spectrum of steels ranging in yield strength grades from 250 MPa to 550 MPa and tensile strength grades from 340 MPa to 590 MPa.
Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) is a group of steels that are more formable than the conventional HSS at similar strength levels. The complex microstructures, containing combinations of various steel phases, are designed into the AHSSs to develop the higher strengths and better formability than the conventional HSS. These grades include: dual-phase, stretch flanging (SF), transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) and ultra high strength steels containing 100% martensite.
Ispat Inland's DI-FORM™ family of dual phase steels, having low yield-to-tensile-strength ratios are available with tensile strengths ranging from 500 MPa to 980 MPa. Several of these grades are designed for stretch flanging (SF grades) and high bendability (DI-FORM HB™) applications. Several of Mittal Steel USA's HI FORM steels are high yield-to-tensile-strength ratio dual phase grades and have been extensively used for auto body structural and seat parts.
Mittal Steel USA's IN-TRIP™ family of TRIP steels, with tensile strengths of 590 and 780 MPa are currently under development. Please inquire about the status and availability of these products.
Mittal Steel USA offers the automotive industry a unique set of ultra high strength 100% martensitic steels. Mittal Steel USA's MARTINSITE® martensitic steels are available in tensile strengths from 900 MPa to 1500 MPa. Mittal Steel USA's ELECTROSITE® martensitic steels are available with an electrogalvanizing coating for corrosion protection.
Mittal Steel USA offers the automotive industry a full spectrum of steel products targeted to meet the variety of critical design requirements necessary for the automotive part. From sheet steels that meet critical automotive exposed quality surface requirements, to products that provide high formability, superior durability, and optimum crash energy management, to products that offer significant corrosion protection - the Mittal Steel USA portfolio of sheet steel products can provide a cost effective solution to the requirements of the automotive engineer.
